I finally remembered to open my computer in KDE. AmaroK works here. Ha, go figure. It plays music fine but some stuff is still weird. The bar that shows you how far you're in a song doesn't work. I no longer remember why I chose to use Gnome instead of KDE. I think that I'll use KDE for a while now. All the programs that I usually use work here too. I don't have the energy to start figuring out what's the problem with amaroK in Gnome.
I put my desktop's wallpaper as a slideshow. Now it changes the wallpaper every three minutes. :p Nifty. Today seems to be a rainy day. I don't want to go bicycling in the rain so I'll wait until it clears up.
I have an idea for Ropecon. I made this bet with myself last year. If I had passed the entrance exams, I'd have done this one thing (I'm not saying what it is). Depending on how things go this Friday I might go through with it. :p You'll hear about it then. Ropecon would be one of the only places where I could blend in even with the stunt that I'm planning.
We bought some plank CDs yesterday. Orasi needs to take some safety copies of his computer before we move mom's HD in. There shouldn't be much vital stuff on her HD. Then format it and install Windows on her computer. I promised to do that. I'm going to give my Norton Antivirus program to mom because I don't need it anymore. :p I'll also install Firefox to her compy. She should be used to it already when she's been using my computer and it's much better than IE anyway and safer.
Orasi is also thinking to install Linux on his computer. :p I'd install it on mom's computer as well, if I knew that she could operate it without my help. I play tech help here enough as it is. And there's the problem that she needs to have programs in Finnish. My computer is a weird mixture of Finnish and English. The operating system itself is in Finnish but most programs are in English. I usually don't even notice the difference. xp Also our scanner and future printer are attached to mom's computer. I don't want to try my luck on how well they'd work with Linux.
What to do today...
